Download it today: http://food-network.app.link/download Subscribe to Food Network: https://foodtv.com/2WXIIWZ Get the recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/holiday-biscotti-recipe2-1944762 Holiday Biscotti RECIPE COURTESY OF GIADA DE LAURENTIIS Level: Intermediate Total: 1 hr 20 min Prep: 25 min Cook: 55 min Yield: 2 dozen cookies Ingredients 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 large eggs 3/4 cup pistachios, coarsely chopped 2/3 cup dried cranberries 12 ounces good-quality white chocolate, chopped Red and green sugar crystals, for garnish Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a heavy large baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk the flour and baking powder in a medium bowl to blend. Using an electric mixer, beat the sugar, butter, lemon zest, and salt in a large bowl to blend. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time. Add the flour mixture and beat just until blended. Stir in the pistachios and cranberries. Form the dough into a 13-inch long, 3-inch wide log on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until light golden, about 40 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Place the log on the cutting board. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the log on a diagonal into 1/2 to 3/4-inch-thick slices. Arrange the biscotti, cut side down, on the baking sheet. Bake the biscotti until they are pale golden, about 15 minutes. Transfer the biscotti to a rack and cool completely. Stir the chocolate in a bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water until the chocolate melts. Dip half of the biscotti into the melted chocolate. Gently shake off the excess chocolate. Place the biscotti on the baking sheet for the chocolate to set. Sprinkle with the sugar crystals. Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm, about 35 minutes. The biscotti can be made ahead. Store them in an airtight container up to 4 days, or wrap them in foil and freeze in resealable plastic bags up to 3 weeks. Meanwhile, melt the butter and olive oil in a large (12-inch) saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and saute for 5 to 10 minutes, tossing often, until the mushrooms are cooked and the liquid has evaporated. Transfer the mushrooms to a bowl and rinse out the pan. Pour the cream into the saute pan and heat it over medium heat until it simmers. Add the truffle butter, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, lower the heat to very low and swirl the butter until it melts. Keep warm over very low heat. Meanwhile, add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Drain the pasta in a colander and add it to the truffle cream. Add the chives and mushrooms and toss well with tongs. Stir in the Parmesan. Serve hot in shallow bowls, garnished with extra chives and Parmesan. Note: This recipe was doubled for filming. Download it today: http://food-network.app.link/download Subscribe to Food Network: https://foodtv.com/2WXIIWZ Get the recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/jeff-mauro/italian-meatballs-in-vodka-sauce-7497327 Italian Meatballs in Vodka Sauce RECIPE COURTESY OF JEFF MAURO Level: Easy Total: 2 hr 15 min Active: 15 min Yield: 6 to 8 servings Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil One 1 1/2- to 2-pound package fresh meatballs (about 24 meatballs) 1/2 cup vodka One 32-ounce jar marinara sauce 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper Freshly grated Pecorino Romano or Parmesan, for garnish Torn fresh basil leaves, for garnish Directions To cook in a slow cooker: Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the oil. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides to create a beautiful crust, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer the meatballs to a plate. Deglaze the pan with the vodka and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom. Transfer the liquid from the pan to a slow cooker. Add the marinara sauce, heavy cream, salt and pepper to the slow cooker and stir to combine. Add the meatballs. Cook on high until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is thickened slightly, 2 to 4 hours. When ready to serve, top with fresh cheese and torn basil leaves. To cook on the stove top: Heat a large Dutch oven over medium heat and add the oil. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides to create a beautiful crust, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer the meatballs to a plate, leaving behind as much of the oil in the pot as possible. Add the vodka and cook for about 30 seconds to deglaze the pot, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom. Add the marinara sauce, heavy cream, salt and pepper and stir to combine. Turn the heat to low, return the meatballs back to the pot and simmer until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is thickened slightly, 30 to 45 minutes. When ready to serve, top with fresh cheese and torn basil leaves. Download it today: http://food-network.app.link/download Subscribe to Food Network: https://foodtv.com/2WXIIWZ Get the recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/curry-chicken-chili-with-sriracha-5639474 Curry Chicken Chili with Sriracha RECIPE COURTESY OF RACHAEL RAY Level: Easy Total: 30 min Active: 30 min Yield: 4 servings Ingredients 1 inch ginger root 3 cloves garlic 2 jalapeno peppers 1 large white onion Neutral oil, such as peanut or safflower 1 pound package ground chicken Salt and pepper 1 tablespoon (a palm full) ground chili powder 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 1/2 teaspoons (1/2 a palm full) garam masala 1 to 1 1/2 cups chicken stock 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes 1 cup tomato sauce 3 tablespoons sriracha 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, lightly drained Garlic naan Melted butter, if desired 2 tablespoons mango chutney, plus more for serving optional To Serve: Greek yogurt or sour cream Thinly sliced scallions or finely chopped chives Pickled jalapeno peppers, mild or hot Lime wedges, optional Blue corn chips, optional Cilantro leaves, optional Directions Gather your ingredients. Peel and grate or mince ginger. Peel and chop or grate the garlic. Halve and seed jalapeno peppers then chop. Peel and chop the onion. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat with oil, 2 turns of the pan. Add chicken and brown and crumble. Season with salt and pepper. Add ginger, garlic, peppers, onions and sweat a few minutes. Add chili powder, cumin, coriander and garam masala and stir a minute more. Add stock, tomatoes, tomato sauce and sriracha. Reduce heat a bit to simmer and thicken. Add chickpeas to a food processor and coarsely chop, 5 to 7 pulses. Add chickpeas to chili. If serving naan, preheat griddle to medium-high, sprinkle with water and cook bread until blistered. Brush with melted butter if desired. Adjust seasonings for the chili and stir in mango chutney if using. Serve with yogurt or sour cream, scallions or chives, pickled jalapeno peppers and any optional toppings.     Green’s Bakery is the biggest babka wholesaler in New York City. Seen everywhere from iconic delis like Katz’s to popular groceries like Dean & Deluca and Whole Foods, Green’s babkas have become a staple in the city. The family-run business continues to use the same traditional recipe from Chana Green, an immigrant who came to the United States from Hungary after World War II.
